Jewel v. Boxer case brief

Jewel v. Boxer (Cal 3d. 1984)

-Attorneys fees received on cases in progress upon dissolution of a law partnership are
to be shared with former partners, regardless of which former partner provides legal
services in the case after the dissolution.
-Case stands for the proposition that the partnership remains intact until its final
termination and no partner is entitled to extra compensation for services rendered in
completing unfinished business.
-Policy reason for rule that it encourages stability of business as winding up occurs.
